Role

We are looking for a highly motivated web development engineer specializing and creating exceptional user experiences. You will need strong software engineering skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and experience accepting and giving meaningful feedback on technical designs. You will be responsible for the look and feel of the user experience, architecture, and front-end graphics. You will need to collaborate with our design team and back end developers. A strong candidate will ideally possess strong expertise in the following areas, and at least a basic familiarity in others.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, code and maintain web user experiences end-to-end.

  • Optimize code for performance, stability and maintainability.

  • Work with a cross-functional team of software engineers and designers.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar areas of study. Minimum 2 years of experience in web development.

  • Experience with web technologies (object-oriented JavaScript, HTML, CSS), and experience with web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3.

  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Backbone, Angular, or Ember) and CSS pre-processing frameworks (Sass or Less).

  • Experience with Firebase.

  • Excellent grasp of fundamental computer science concepts, good at solving complex technical problems.

  • Experience using common design patterns. High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance.

  • Proficient in English communication.
